Background and Current Project:I am interested in the field of synthetic biology as well as bioremediation processes and use the time of my PhD to combine the two trying to develop robust systems to identify and evolve PET degrading enzymes, working with a variety of host organisms.
Interests: When I am not in the lab, I enjoy spending my time trying out new recipes for baked goods or switch off by making or listening to music. I have also started to experiment with photography which I enjoy especially while traveling.
