Part III project student
Joined the Hollfelder group: October 2023
Background and Current Projects: I am a student at St John’s College, Cambridge currently doing an integrated Masters in Biochemistry (Part III). For undergrad, I read Natural Sciences with specialisation in Biochemistry. I did my Part II project in the Nietlispach lab investigating ternary complex kinetics of the β1-Adrenergic receptor using BioLayer Interferometry and NMR. Additionally, I did a summer research project in the Baum lab at the LMB, studying how archaeal cells couple growth, DNA segregation and division using fluorescence live cell imaging. My current research project in the Hollfelder lab focuses on the systematic exploration of catalytic fitness of imine reductases, which can inform the engineering of novel green biocatalysts.
Interests: My main hobby is running (cross country and track) which I do competitively but I also cycle and swim for fitness. I enjoy music and play guitar (acoustic/electric) in my free time.
