Background and Current Projects: Aiming to produce and test a novel enzyme identified from DNA derived from wild jaguar and ocelot faecal samples, coding for an enzyme that could convert A or B type blood group antigens into universally acceptable antigens, enabling organ transplants that are not ABO blood-group type dependant.
